About Georgina

Her passion for joint replacement began early, during her medical training in New Zealand. After working locally as a locum, Georgina headed to Adelaide for a fellowship where she trained in anterior hip and robotic knee surgery. This international experience allows her to offer advanced, modern techniques to her patients back here in the Bay of Plenty.

​

Georgina  has a particular interest in the minimally invasive anterior approach and the role of technology in supporting surgical outcomes, using tools that respect each patient’s natural anatomy and can offer patients a faster recovery, smaller incisions, and a quicker return home after surgery to.

​

Outside of work, Georgina spends a lot of time running around after her young family, sometimes chasing chickens, and planting fruit trees. She also really enjoys mentoring trainees and young doctors coming through, especially through LIONZ (Ladies in Orthopaedics NZ).
