General FAQs

  • Wait times vary depending on the specialist and urgency of your condition. Once we receive your referral, our team will contact you to schedule the earliest available appointment.

  • Please bring your referral letter, any relevant medical records or imaging (like X-rays or MRIs), a list of medications, and your health insurance details if applicable.

  • Your specialist will discuss your diagnosis and treatment options. If surgery is required, our admin team will guide you through the next steps, including pre-admission, consent, and payment.

Appointments & Surgery

  • If you’re insured or your procedure is covered by ACC or a DHB contract, we’ll work with them directly. If you’re unsure, please check with your insurer or contact our admin team.

  • If your surgery isn’t covered, you’ll need to pay the estimated hospital costs before your admission. Payment options include online, internet banking, or credit card.

  • Yes – if your insurance policy has an excess, this amount must be paid before your surgery goes ahead.
