About David

David completed his medical degree at the University of Auckland and postgraduate studies in surgical anatomy through the University of Otago. He went on to complete further fellowship training in both New Zealand and Australia, specialising in shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand and microsurgery.

​

​David is also involved in training and mentoring the next generation of surgeons and health professionals. He has taught at both Auckland and Otago Universities and contributes to the New Zealand Orthopaedic Association training board, as well as the trainee’s association for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

​

​When he’s not working, David enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and making the most of everything the region has to offer.
