About Christopher

Chris completed his medical degree through Otago University. He completed his Royal College of Physicians neurology training in 2001and completed fellowships at Oxford, UK and Mayo Clinic, USA before returning to NZ in 2003.

​

Chris has worked in both Tauranga and Waikato Hospital environments where he engaged in teaching, clinical service development, research, and time as Clinical Director. He has also served as President of the NZ Neurological Association.

​

Chris commenced his private practice in 2004, providing both consultations and neurophysiology testing, and commenced full time private practice in 2020. The neurophysiology service has expanded, servicing Rotorua/ Gisborne/ QE Hospital from 2010, Grace Orthopaedic Centre from 2013, and Taranaki hospital from 2015.

Out of the clinic, Chris has a large family and a passion for ball sports and travel.
