About Aaron

Aaron studied medicine at the University of Auckland and completed his orthopaedic training in New Zealand in 2004. He then headed to the UK for advanced training in joint replacement and foot and ankle surgery, completing fellowships at the Avon Orthopaedic Centre and the Bristol Sports and Orthopaedic Centre. Once back in NZ, Aaron took up a surgical sports fellowship at the Adidas Sports Centre in Auckland.

Now based in Tauranga, Aaron divides his time between public and private practice, including a consultant role at Tauranga Public Hospital where he’s involved in teaching both orthopaedic trainees and medical students.

Aaron is an active member of several professional organisations, including the New Zealand Sports and Knee Society, Foot and Ankle Society, and Paediatric Orthopaedic Society. He’s also involved with the Tauranga Orthopaedic Research Society, contributing to the ongoing development of orthopaedic care in the region.

Outside of work, Aaron is family-centred and catching some waves, when time allows.
